Don’t get cheated when choosing diamonds! ! How to choose the 4Cs of diamonds correctly

How to choose the 4Cs of diamonds correctly
How to choose the 4Cs of diamonds correctly

The main components of a diamond are composed of four parameters:
[1] Carat weight (CARAT)
[2] Color (COLOR)
[3] Clarity (CLARITY)
[4] Cut (CUT)
This is the so-called 4Cs

💎Carat weight (CARAT)
Refers to the weight of the diamond
Under the same quality, the larger the diamond, the higher the value
1 carat = 100 points,

🔮Color (COLOR)
Diamonds actually have colors. Generally speaking, the better the diamond, the whiter and more transparent it should be
And diamonds with poor color performance will be slightly yellowish
Starting from the highest D grade to the lowest Z grade:
D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K…..Z
But basically, there is no collection value for diamonds below the K level
And H color has almost no obvious color difference without comparison
G and H are recommended for high cost performance

💠Clarity
Refers to the number of internal and external flaws of diamonds
There are 11 levels from the highest FL (flawless) to the lowest I3 (defective)
FL, IF, VVS1, VVS2, VS1, VS2, SI1, SI2, I1, I2, I3
For our naked eyes, SI and above flaws are basically invisible
SI and above are preferred for high cost performance

🔰Cut
Grades from high to low:
EX, VG, G, F, P
And divided into three dimensions:
Cut level, polishing level, symmetry level
The fire and brilliance of diamonds below VG level will be greatly discounted, don’t do it!
It is recommended to directly choose diamonds with EX cuts in all three items, which is commonly known as 3EX

⁉Knowing this, how can we identify it?
It is usually difficult for us to find problems with diamonds with the naked eye, so we must use the help of testing agencies to conduct testing!

In addition! In addition to the 4C standard, there are two other things you need to pay attention to when choosing diamonds:
Ⓜ️Fluorescence
Refers to the intensity of fluorescence reaction under ultraviolet light
But unless it is under strong light, it is basically not visible
So while pursuing cost-effectiveness, you can also consider diamonds with fluorescence appropriately (depending on your personal acceptance)

🌀Milk Coffee Diamond
Milk Coffee Diamond will not be marked on the GIA certificate
But in fact, there is a big difference between it and normal diamonds
Before buying, remember to tell the merchant that you don’t want milk coffee diamonds!
